In 1597, the Elizabethan polemical prose writer and contemporary of Shakespeare, Thomas Nashe, fled to Great Yarmouth after a play he co-wrote with, playwright and poet Ben Jonson led to the closure of all London theatres. Anna Brass (British School at Rome's Sainsbury Scholar in Painting and Sculpture 2018-19) was recently commissioned to produce a film representing this difficult period in Nashe’s life.
