How can we reimagine and reconnect with our depleted high streets? This family friendly workshop will lead participants through a series of creative tasks and collaborations to create and curate their own shop-front exhibitions for a new kind of high street. The workshop will use a series of creative prompts from commissioned artists exhibiting in the high streets of Bournemouth, Darlington, Hereford, and Southend. The interdisciplinary team, who have been working on the Towns and the Cultural Economies of Recovery project, will rummage through your imaginary shopping baskets to produce a creative wish list for the future of our towns. What do we want to sell, buy and keep on our high streets and how can art help us imagine how we do this?
