Come along and enjoy playing some board games as you explore what these games really mean to us. Are they merely for enjoyment, or do they represent more - say, a distinctive kind of artwork, or a way of understanding the world? Philosophers of games are interested in asking these questions, and this event invites you to make your own contribution to considering how we renew our relationship with games.
Ahead of time you will get some extra content related to your game, either factual or fictional. Then after playing, you can join a discussion considering how these extra ideas that were added to the games affected your experience, your enjoyment, or even your chances of winning! By the end you will hopefully have some new ideas about how games can enrich our lives.
The event will be run by Dr Karl Egerton.
