Join experienced curators from Bethlem Museum of the Mind to look at the world of the Victorian Asylum, and make sense of what happened within the walls of these institutions. Looking specifically at the case record of a person admitted to Bethlem Royal Hospital, the group will investigate the events that led to their admission, their time in the Hospital and talk a bit about the aftermath and effect of admission on patient's lives. This is an interactive session with group discussion of difficult issues around mental health that will also feature looking at anachronistic and outdated language and attitudes.
