Words and Music: University Chamber Choir

Marking the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, the choir will perform commemorative music and poetry to mark the anniversaries of Queen Victoria and President Kennedy’s deaths, as well as elegies for the fallen.

Songs will include: Howells’ ‘Take Him, Earth, For Cherishing’, Tavener’s ‘Funeral Ikos’, Ramsey’s ‘How are the Mighty Fallen’ and ‘When David Heard’, Tomkins’ ‘When David Heard’, Harris’ ‘Bring Us O Lord God’, Elgar’s ‘They are at Rest’, Pearsall’s ‘Lay a Garland’.
