Weather the Weather
12 November, 2020 - 13 November, 2020
Event Navigation

This is an online event.
‘Weather the Weather’ is a sensory artwork recreating weather conditions of past and future years but of the same day. This four day journey begins with 1816 which was the year without summer and then 1904 when the link between fossil fuels and climate change was first made. From there the installation visits 1990, when worldwide targets for climate were set, and finally ends with the speculative future weather scenarios of 2080.
The different years will be shared on the following days:
- 1816 – Thursday 12 November between 10:00 and 12:30
- 1904 – Thursday 12 November between 13:30 and 15:30
- 1990 – Friday 13 November between 10:00 and 12:30
- 2080 – Friday 13 November between 13:30 and 15:30
The artwork will be made available via live-stream at www.weathertheweather.info
‘Weather the Weather’ is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between artist Inés Cámara Leret and Dr George Adamson and Dr Tamsin Edwards (King’s College London), made possible with the support from the John B. Thornes Laboratory: Dr Francis O’Shea, Bruce Main and Kate Olde.
