Walking Free

16 November, 2019, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Join this guided walking tour to discover the hidden connection between Uxbridge and British slavery and abolition. Visit a former residence of leading British abolitionist, William Wilberforce, and the grave of former African slave, Toby Pleasant.

Beginning at Uxbridge Library, the walk will be approximately 3km. Throughout the walk there will be short talks and moments to discuss the discoveries made along the way.

Due to the nature of this event if you have any questions about accessibility we recommend getting in touch directly with the organiser.

This walk will be repeated on Friday 15 November between 10:00 and 12:30 and on Friday 22 November between 10:00 and 12:30.
