The Origins of the Artificial Ape

17 November, 2018, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

This session of hands-on activities for families will explore the origins of our species, revealing how and when our ancestors started to behave and think in ways that made us ‘human’. Ever wondered exactly how, why and when our species evolved? How about when our ancestors started using tools, cooking food or making art? A range of fun and interactive sessions will bring you face-to-face with your ancestors, considering what they looked like and exploring how they moved. You can also find out about what they ate, the tools they made and the art they created – the origins of what makes us human.

This event is drop-in and will most likely take you about 30 minutes to explore, although of course you are welcome to stay longer!
