‘The Grapes of Wrath’ at 80

19 November, 2019, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of John Steinbeck’s masterpiece The Grapes of Wrath, the University of Lincoln will host two talks by academics in the College of Arts.

Dr Andrew Rowcroft and Dr Thomas Bishop will address Steinbeck’s novel from a range of critical perspectives, in particular, reading the novel in relation to climate, environment, and ecology, alongside reference to broader currents in twentieth-century US history, culture, and social and political contexts.

Refreshments will be provided. The two 20 minute talks will be followed by Q&A.

This event is part of the ‘Moving Stories: Discovering Lives Lived Differently’ festival hub organised by the University of Lincoln.
