Seeing Red: Periods and Protest (Exhibition)
24 November, 2018, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Free
This exhibition showcases the creative responses of young people to the history of women’s health and activism in post-war Britain. Visitors will have the opportunity to use historical sources to produce their own protest posters and donation boxes to raise awareness about period poverty in the UK today. Open to all, this showcase will inspire conversations about the relationship between past and present in our individual health experiences, while also championing ways of working together to eradicate period poverty in Essex and beyond.
There is also a ‘Seeing Red: Periods and Protest’ panel discussion on Thursday 15 November between 7:00pm and 9:00pm which can be booked separately.
