Secret Ingredients

November 19, 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Ingredients come in many forms: they may be the foods that make a particular dish or cuisine, or the special insights that advance human knowledge. At this event you will be able to explore ingredients in all their varieties. Researchers from archaeology, classics and english will be on hand to explain the origins of the ingredients in our modern diet: why do we eat some plants and animals but not others, and should we be eating animals at all? You will also be able enjoy a research ‘tasting menu’, whereby authors from across the arts and humanities will provide you with delicious morsels of their work, sharing the secret ingredients of their research.
