Putting Southwick on the map (exhibition)

21 November, 2017, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating until 25 November, 2017

Southwick, Sunderland is a community with a rich heritage, a distinctive cultural life, a strong sense of identity and a wealth of stories from the profound to the subversive. The research project Putting Southwick on the Map has, since 2015, been working with community researchers and partners in Southwick to document its artistic and cultural life.

This exhibition features visual artworks lost, found and made during the project and a digital culture map.

On November 24th there is also a workshop where people can experiment with the techniques developed by community researchers and discuss ideas provoked by the work. Please book the workshop separately.
