Pandemic Survival: Ancient & Modern

November 18, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

This is an online event.

Join archaeologist Carenza Lewis, to learn about the Black Death, the world’s worst ever pandemic, and the ways in which it forged a new world. This is a subject which has particular resonance as we grapple with coronavirus in 2020. This interactice online event comprises snapshot talks interspersed with interactive quizzes, card draws and even a ‘battleships’-style game. Shed some light and bust some myths about the ‘mother of all pandemics’, the medieval Black Death, and compare its impacts to those of the 2020’s coronavirus pandemic.

Suitable for ages 10 and up.
