Northern England’s Linguistic Heritage

November 16, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

This family day will include a wide range of activities for all ages, including arts and crafts, language games, storytelling, and talks. Visitors will be invited to explore the rich linguistic heritage of the northern English dialects, with particular emphasis on the impact that contact between Anglo-Saxons and Vikings had on the vocabulary of these dialects.

This event will also take place on Sunday 17 November at Barley Hall, York.
