In this online event delve into the archives, encounter some of the old and rare dictionaries in the University of Glasgow Library’s Special Collections and learn about the fascinating history behind them. This event will introduce you to the playful and argumentative side of dictionaries and the people who make them. Learn how dictionaries of the English language opened up new worlds of expression, and be inspired to look at the language you use every day in a new light.
