Motherhood and Making

17 November, 2018, 10:30 am - 5:30 pm

Gender pay gaps, precarious work, paltry paternity leave – what does it mean to be a mother working in the creative arts today? This event will bring together artists and organisations who are exploring the role of motherhood in contemporary society. Talks will explore how motherhood informs artists’ and writers’ work without shrinking away from the bigger issues. There will also be workshops for children from Little Artists London and a child-friendly talk from Mother House Studios’ Artist-in-Residence Mary Martins. More details to follow shortly.
