Language and song: finding our lost First World War heritage
November 17, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Over the last few years, an extensive programme of commemoration has marked the centenaries of the First World War. However, whilst we remember the events of 1914-1918, there are parts of that history we have forgotten. Through this interactive event that uses language and song, come and discover our lost heritage from the First World War. The event will focus on how individuals and communities adapted to the war, developed new skills and how we can learn more about this history and discover something new about a war we think we know so well.
The event will be led by Professor Ross J. Wilson from the Department of History and Politics at the University of Chichester.
