Feltham Heritage 1917-1947 Photo Exhibition

Marking the centenary of the opening of Hanworth Air Park in 1917, this photographic exhibition explores the history of the people, communities and events connected with the West Area of Hounslow between 1917 and 1947. Covering a rich and valuable heritage, particularly around the war and inter-war periods, which unfortunately is not well-recognised. Feltham Arts have worked closely with Hounslow Library Service Local Collection, the Feltham History Group, local volunteers including students from Rivers Academy, Tale Be Told Theatre and illustrator Him Hallows to research, document and interpret the areas impressive heritage.

This event is part of the Institute of Historical Research’s project ‘Layers of London’.

The exhibition will be open between 10:00 and 16:30.
