This is an online event.
Imagine a world in which we could engineer reality! Or maybe this is something we already do…
In this broad ranging, open lecture, Claire Rose explores the idea of being human, through the lenses of engineering, innovation and sustainable economy. Tackling ideas of ‘what makes us human’; considering why humans might choose to engineer multiple realities, and how the realities we design might impact our planetary economy. A talk designed to get you thinking about what we might mean when we talk about ‘engineering reality’.
Claire Rose is an Innovation and Technology Strategy Consultant based in Cambridge UK. Claire is an Associate Lecturer at Lincoln University Business School, and is on team at Lincoln University Agri-Robotics, a world leading agricultural robotics research group operating out of Riseholme Campus, University of Lincoln; where the team are lucky enough to have industrial scale research facilities for agrifood production, a beautiful walled garden for crop and data modelling experiments, and a really interesting mix of robotics, AI and data science capabilities.
