De-Stigmatising Eating Disorders in Men Café

18 November, 2020, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

This is an online event.

Men and boys get eating disorders too. It is not only women and girls who are affected by anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and other types of eating disorders. Males and those identifying as male can also experience concerns with weight, shape and size and other stresses and problems that might contribute to developing an eating disorder – but it is a topic that is very little talked about, often associated with stigma and under the radar of most people.

Come along to this Being Human Café, open to all, where we aim to bust myths about eating disorders in males. Learn surprising facts, and watch an animated film by men with experience of what it is like living with an eating disorder. These real-life stories will get you thinking and hopefully joining in the conversation about this important yet neglected topic that needs to be more on our radar.
