20 November, 2020, 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Event Navigation

This is an online event.
A discussion unpicking the climate and community emergency of our times and part of a series of ‘Conversation Circles’ exploring ideas of brokenness and repair in society.
Led by Clare McDonald, this discussion will ask: can everything be mended? What’s the dynamic between a throw-away society paired with a profound belief that everything can be fixed? How do we live with, and make peace with, the reality of brokenness; something we may experience in the material, the personal and the global?
Claire is a writer, theatre practitioner, and Unitarian Minister. She founded Impact Theatre Cooperative and has taught at Goldsmiths, Dartington and De Montford Universities. She is an active member of Culture Declares Emergency, the global community of artist and cultural leaders actively responding to climate and ecological emergency.
This event is part of ‘Fixing It: Repair as Resistance’ project organised by Goldsmiths, University of London.
