Alcohol in the Archives

21 November, 2020, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

This is an online event.

Glasgow was home to many of the Scottish temperance movements of the 19th and 20th centuries. In this creative writing workshop, you can use a range of archived materials from these movements — such as newspaper clippings, photographs and pamphlets — as inspiration for your own creative writing about alcohol. All participants will have the option to submit their writing to a one-off online journal showcasing responses to the workshop. Open to everyone and no previous writing experience required.

This event is part of the hub series organised by the University of Glasgow.
