A Poetic Constitution for Scotland: Consultation
12 November, 2020 - 22 November, 2020
Event Navigation

This is an online event.
If you, the citizens of Scotland, had the chance to write your own constitution, what would it say? How do we best express what it is to be Scottish/New Scottish today? Might the freedoms and fluidity of poetry offer a shared language for our civic values, ambitions, visions?
This public consultation invites all Scots and New Scots – living at home or abroad – to take part, share and explore what Scotland means to you today. The collated responses will inspire and inform a new play, to be premiered in a special culmination of Glasgow’s Being Human festival hub on St Andrew’s Day, Monday 30 November.
Alongside the public consultation will be three creative workshops, enabling specific groups to come together to explore their take on what it means to be Scottish/New Scottish.
13:00 – 14:30, 14 November: Under 25s Workshop
11:00 – 12:30, 15 November: New Scots Workshop
18:00 – 19:30, 18 November: Women-only Workshop
This event is part of the hub series organised by the University of Glasgow.
