Being Human festival 2019 masterclass
It’s time for the School of Advanced Study’s annual Being Human masterclass – a combined networking, skills sharing and training event discussing all things public engagement!
This full day event is geared towards Being Human festival organisers and others interested in public engagement in the humanities. Combining presentations and hands-on workshops, the event will offer an opportunity to meet the Being Human team at the School of Advanced Study and other organisers involved in this year’s festival as well as participants from previous years. Speak with successful event organisers about what they have learnt, and get some top tips on coordinating, promoting and evaluating Being Human and other public engagement events.
There will be hands-on training workshops led by Dr Helen Featherstone, Head of Public Engagement at the University of Bath. These will cover:
- Planning an event
- Working in partnership with communities
- Doing public engagement on a budget
Thursday 13 June, 10.30am – 6pm
Garden Halls, 1 Cartwright Gardens, London, WC1H 9EN
The event costs £30 to attend (£20 for students or non-salaried) We have kept the fee as low as possible and it is only being used to cover some basic running costs, including refreshments and lunch which will be provided to all delegates.
