Being Human at Home

This is a funny year for festivals. With most events happening online this year, we recognise that our social media for the festival is going to look a little different!

That’s why we’ve decided to run a little competition – Being Human at Home. We want to see photos of you enjoying the festival from the comfort of your living room. Whether you are taking part in an online workshop, tuning in to a performance, taking part in an art class or brewing up to join one of our Being Human cafes – we want to see how you are bringing the festival to life from the comfort of your own homes. We want to up the festival fun as much as possible during these dark times.

Get creative! We’ll be sharing these photos through the week on our social media feeds and the best images will win a prize. (A being human goody bag for the top ten and a personalized Being Human goody bag and mug for the winner, so that you can brew up for the humanities whenever you like).

Ideas to get you started include:
  • Are you enjoying the festival from your living room? Have you decorated your room to make it feel more ‘festivally’?
  • Are you cooking up some popcorn for a film screening? Do you have a picnic? Having a drink? Cocktails? Home baked goods? Brewing up your tea and coffee for a Being Human Cafe?
  • Listening to a festival podcast or audio walk on your daily exercise?
  • Are you getting hands-on and participating in a festival workshop? Delving into family archives, painting, drawing, mapping, scrapbooking, creating? Send us a picture of the results!

Send your photos to us by using the hashtag #BeingHumanatHome.
